Building the Future Awards

This award recognizes dedicated teachers, parents, volunteers, and leaders who are bringing impactful STEM/STEAM learning opportunities to their kids. This award celebrates nominees whose work embodies the core principles of STEM education, with a strong emphasis on:
- Hands-On, Project Based STEAM Learning
- Social Emotional Skills
- Executive Functioning Skills
- 21st Century Skills (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication)
- Engineer Design aka Design Thinking
Award Categories (Quarterly)
STEM Educator Award
Honors outstanding individuals directly facilitating STEAM learning (e.g., teachers, after-school program directors, principals, etc.).
STEM Leader Award
Recognizes impactful advocates and supporters of STEM/STEAM education (e.g., parent volunteers, community organization leaders, Department of Education innovators, etc.).
Nomination Details:
- Anyone can nominate an inspiring STEM/STEAM educator or leader.
- Self-nominations are accepted but must include a letter or email of support from a colleague, supervisor, or community member.
- Award recipients will be announced by the end of the current semester.
- You are welcome to nominate the same person for both categories if their contributions are significant in both areas.
