Programs and Services

Student Programming

We offer a diverse array of engaging, hands-on programs for students across all grade levels. Our year round after school programs empower students to develop STEM skills such as coding, robotics, video game design, 3D printing, while also helping them develop essential life skills like literacy, math and social-emotional intelligence. Our summer programs such as the STEM Summer Camps and Summer Rising provide students with immersive learning opportunities during the break.

Teacher Training

We are deeply committed to developing sustainable STEM education through our comprehensive teacher training programs. We offer tailored professional development programs for teachers and coaches, designed to strengthen their technological and pedagogical expertise for them to effectively integrate STEM into their classrooms. Our teacher training programs can be tailored to support a small group of teachers or the entire school teacher team.

Workforce Development

Our commitment extends beyond the classroom to empower the next generation of STEM professionals through targeted workforce development initiatives. We offer specialized programs designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and career readiness. These initiatives include work-based learning, skill-based workshops focused on in-demand technologies and mentorship opportunities with industry professionals. By fostering crucial skills and providing real-world exposure, we aim to equip young adults with the confidence and expertise needed to thrive in STEM fields and contribute to the local and national workforce.

Neurodivergent Learning & Teacher/Staff Training

We recognize the diverse learning styles of all students and are dedicated to creating inclusive STEM education environments. Our programming for neurodivergent youth focuses on leveraging their unique strengths and providing tailored support to foster their engagement and success in STEM. Through an initiative supported by the New York City Apprenticeship Accelerator grant, StudentUnion is expanding supports for neurodivergent students (PreK-employment)l developing a comprehensive blueprint for employers to successfully launch a neurodivergent apprenticeship program, which we are looking to scale towards actual support and implementation - from skill development and achievement, formal industry credentialing, apprenticeships, job search support and interviews, and hiring in the specific industries
